FOLLOWING THE ACTION -

 

SNACK IN YEAR 2020 - SHORT VIDEO 

 PRINCIPLES APPLIED: CUT ON MOTION, SEAMLESS, CONTINUITY.

In this attempt, I applied the techniques of editing to narrate an event about the proper way to enjoy a snack in the year 2020. Try to attempt a seamless video edit without the audience notice, an illusion of a series of event happened shot by only one camera.

CUT ON MOTION

In order to display a seamless edit, movements captured between each shot should be "linked" or connect. In PremierePro, I cut every footage into frame degree and make sure the detail has been treated right and seamlessly. Nevertheless, I'm not satisfied while the actor puts on the second glove, that scene might seem to rush and the action is ended too soon. But while I review the footage I took, the time of a frame is not enough for a detail cut, which is a shame. 

    

 

The structure of this attempt is like this:
1. get the wipe 
2. wipe the table 
3. spray with alcohol 
4. put on gloves 
5. take off the mask 
6. get the snack 
7. and enjoy 

CONTINUITY 

Similar to graphic design, the continuity of theme, font, and layout is the same as in film. Disoriented management should not occur if I try to attempt it. The consistency of lighting and props can also be the things I should be carefully measured and make sure they would not change throughout the process. 

If you look at my video closely, you might realize the props are actually moved. Also due to the lighting condition, the raw footage seems to have various tones and brightness, which can be solved in the software.
