 CROSSCUT 

This is when the editor intercuts back and forth between locations. It is widly use in phone call scene, add up the tenction and suspention of the sequence. The only connection of the two charactor is through their voice, but as the audience can overview their facical expresstion and interpet more emoction from their acts.
